Abstract: VA Form 26–8736a is completed by nonsupervised lender’s PO 00000 Frm 00083 Fmt 4703 Sfmt 9990 and the lender’s nominee for credit underwriting with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Lenders are authorized by VA to make automatic guaranteed loans if approved for such purposes. The lender is required to have a qualified underwriter to review loans to be closed on automatic basis and determine that the loan meets VA’s credit underwriting standards. VA uses the data collected on the form to evaluate the nominee’s credit underwriting experience. An agency may not conduct or sponsor, and a person is not required to respond to a collection of information unless it displays a currently valid OMB control number.
